Full activity description of the Clue d’Aiglun canyoning:

The Clue d’Aiglun canyoning route is a rather sporty course, intended for participants in good physical condition and comfortable in water. In addition, there are no escape routes along this outstanding descent in the Alpes-Maritimes.

To efficiently organize the vehicle shuttle between the start and finish points, all participants will not necessarily meet at the same place or at the same time.

Once the shuttle has been organized, your certified guide will provide the personal technical equipment required for the descent. This includes a full neoprene wetsuit, neoprene socks, a helmet, and a harness equipped with a double safety lanyard. You will also be given a waterproof barrel and a canyoning backpack to carry your picnic and spare clothes during the descent.

To reach the Estéron river and the start of the Clue d’Aiglun, you will first enjoy a beautiful 45-minute hike through the typical vegetation of the Nice hinterland. Your guide will then help you get equipped and will give you all the necessary safety instructions for the canyoning descent.

The first section consists of long swimming stretches in beautiful narrow pools, combined with jumps and abseils, leading you into the heart of the canyon. In a magnificent and vast sunlit rocky amphitheatre, you will enjoy a picnic break surrounded by stunning scenery.

The second part of the Clue d’Aiglun features more chaotic passages through ancient rock blocks, along with jumps and abseils. You will then reach the final section of the canyon, which is more open but still very fun and playful.

Finally, you will hike back up to the road via a short but steep path, where the vehicles left at the start of the shuttle will be waiting for you.
