The O’Limpide Team

O’limpide was founded in 2014 by Nico and Lola. We are both passionate about outdoor sports and deeply in love with our beautiful region!

We met in 2007 during a trip to South America. As shared enthusiasts of outdoor sports, we quickly fell in love with the Verdon region.

We moved there in 2008 and worked for six years as employees for other companies based in Castellane. This gave us enough time to let the idea grow and to develop the desire to build something that truly reflects who we are: with passion!

In 2014, we took a leap of faith and fully committed to creating our own company: O’limpide. Since then, we have been striving to share our passion in the best possible way, while respecting the magnificent environment that surrounds us.

Nicolas CRUZ, born in August 1983, has been a climbing and canyoning instructor since 2004.

Originally from Montpellier, Nico holds two degrees in Sports Science (STAPS). He discovered climbing with his parents and brother at the age of 10.

Since then, like many climbers, life has made the most sense to him on rock. He developed a passion for travel at the age of 20 and has explored many parts of the world, often with climbing as a central focus.

In 2004, he discovered canyoning during his professional training for the state diploma. It was a revelation, and by 2006 he began working seasons as an instructor. His teaching approach and legendary patience have made Nico a highly appreciated guide.

Lola, born in June 1986 in the Dordogne region, manages the administrative side as well as O’limpide’s booking schedules.

She holds a degree in Sports Science (STAPS) and has always been passionate about travel, nature, and sport from an early age.

Her family introduced her to canyoning in the late 1990s.

Later on, her partner Nico introduced her to rock climbing, and since then, the rock has become her favorite playground.

Lola knows the region inside out and will provide you with professional advice on all the activities offered, helping you find the option that best suits your wishes.

Clovis Gauge, born in 1993 in the Diois region, joined the O’Limpide team in 2020.

A volunteer firefighter and winter ski patroller, passionate about sports and nature, working as a canyoning instructor feels like a perfect fit for him.

Naturally cheerful, Clovis enjoys sharing and discussing a wide variety of topics.

Always patient and pedagogical, he knows how to transmit his passion to both children and adults, offering you an unforgettable adventure.

Johan Desbordes, born in 2000, joined the O’limpide team in 2023.

Holder of a professional climbing instructor diploma, an highly active route setter, and a passionate climber, he has chosen the cliffs of the Verdon in recent seasons, much to our delight.

With a great sense of humor and flawless professionalism, and the ability to adapt to all types of participants, Johan is an instructor who will guide you in a friendly and supportive atmosphere.
